The open source program QMapShack is great for displaying online and offline maps on different operating systems. In addition, you can very comfortably display track recording, analyze them or create your own tracks for tour planning. There are also numerous other features such as offline routing or dataillated statistics incl. health data.
## Import Maps For a better overview it is recommended to create a separate folder for the maps (e.g. C:\Maps). After downloading the desired map, they must first be unzipped. The first step after starting QMapShack is to set up a map path. To do this, we right-click in the current Workplace and select the option "Setup Map Paths". In the next step click on the plus symbol and select the path (e.g. C:\Maps).
You can have multiple maps in the same folder, but note that subfolders are not taken into account. Furthermore, in this menu you can also download a basic package with various online map services with one click. Click below on the button "Help! I want maps" and choose a target directory (e.g. C:\Maps). Note that these maps are only available with an active internet connection.
